Chlamydia TreatmentThis treatment option is available to patients with signs/symptoms of uncomplicated genital Chlamydia who test positive for Chlamydia Trachomatis. Uncomplicated Chlamydia infection means that the infection has not ascended to the upper genital tract.
Chlamydia treatment generally requires the use of the antibiotic Azithromycin at a dose of 1g.

Chlamydia testing should be undertaken by individuals who have had two or more sexual partners in the previous 12 months or by those who have concerns about their sexual exposure.
